Today I Choose to be Happy

This morning, I woke up, sniffed the clean, fresh air and marveled at how awesome my God is. I glanced at the clock and it was 7:00 am. I couldn’t understand how I woke up so early without an alarm. I should still be sleeping.

I retired to bed at 1:30 am because I was working on a project that I am passionate about, and was anxious to see the finished product. So, as I focused on the appearance of the finished product, I was energized to work towards that desired outcome. Fatigue was far from my mind or even my work station, so I kept going on and on. The words of Alexander Den Heijer floated in my head as I worked. He states,

“You often feel tired, not because you’ve done too much, but because you’ve done too little of what sparks a light in you”

I produce 99% of the craft items in my online Store, “Geez Home Decor” and I enjoy working on each and every project. I enjoy the comfort, creativity and relaxation it provides.

When I finally tucked myself into bed, I assured my body that it would get enough sleep because I was going to sleep longer in the morning. I fell asleep as soon as my head connected with the pillow.

I thought I could control how long I remained asleep but this was not what God wanted. God woke me up at 7: 00 am because I had my daily motivational blog to post to my Facebook page, “My Valley Experience” This is what I usually do immediately after my morning devotion.

Now, here I am, fully energized, and ready for today’s tasks. God is truly amazing. I always start my day with a positive affirmation so
today, I choose to be productive, peaceful, and positive.

Little is much when God is in it so whatever the universe has in store for me today, I pray and trust that God will lead me through it. Today, I choose to be happy. What about you?

I leave you with these words from Groucho Marx,
“Each morning when I open my eyes I say to myself: I, not events, have the power to make me happy or unhappy today. I can choose which it shall be. Yesterday is dead, tomorrow hasn’t arrived yet. I have just one day, today, and I’m going to be happy in it.”

Have a productive day. God bless you.
